The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

20 Oct
Kristen Stewart and Robert PattinsonWe’ve all been cordially invited to witness the wedding of Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), a “Twilight” event that promises to change everything. The stars of “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ were just as excited to shoot the wedding scenes as us Twilighters are to see it play out on the big screen. In fact, Stewart said she has been “ramping up to do that scene for three years,” which she considers to be the “most important part of the whole thing.” Check out this exclusive video to see what Pattinson, Stewart, and other cast members had to say about filming the unlikely nuptials of a century-old vampire and his human soul mate.

The clip’s never-before-seen opening finds Edward uttering his famous quote, “I’ve been waiting a century to marry you, Miss Swan,” and Bella assuring him, “I know I can do this.”

Then, fans get quick glimpses of the “Midsummer’s Night Dream”-themed wedding with Bella being escorted down the aisle by her father, the guests sitting in flowered pews, and the dapper-looking groom grinning ear to ear at the altar. The scene is exactly as star Ashley Greene (who plays Alice Cullen) describes: “beautiful, decadent.” For Stewart, the wedding “definitely felt ceremonial and celebratory.”

We agree; the wedding does look amazing! But we’re all anxious to see what bride Bella will be wearing on her wedding day and it looks like that big reveal won’t happen until the movie premieres on November 18. “The wedding was Secret Service-style insane,” Stewart explained during a panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con.

“The crew was completely inconvenienced — there was no cell phone or email. I said ‘thank you’ so much because if this [wedding] dress gets on the Internet, I’ll die! I had to be locked into the dress to protect it.”
